Deep River/Petawawa Fencing Club

Fencing is an exciting, unusual and challenging sport. Leaning to fence develops technical skill, timing, coordination, precision and concentration. Best of all fencing is fun. Our club is small and recreational and all beginners are very welcome. Bring a friend

Our club registers all its fencers in the Ontario Fencing Association and the Canadian Fencing Federation to obtain insurance coverage and to allow our athletes to compete in Ontario and Canada. As of July 2006 the Canadian Fencing Federation requires all participants fencing in Canada to hold a license. We recommend that children be at least ten years of age (Grade 5) to participate in our club.

Plenty of beginner fencing tournaments and more advanced are available for interested fencers to try. For more info: check us out on Facebook or drop in during our practices.
